Emma Claire Kae

Emma Claire began performing at two-years-old, assuming different character roles each day at pre-school. Her childcare providers would frequently pose the question, “who is she this morning?” unsure if they would meet Captain Hook from the day prior, or if she had resorted back to her favorite persona, the Pillsbury Doughboy. Now, Emma strives to foster awareness and support for communities who have been marginalized by theatrically magnifying unheard voices. Her art focuses on specific narratives centered around the complexities of womanhood within whole health contexts (physical, mental, spiritual, and environmental health), in order to universally inform and connect with audience members of any identity.

Emma enjoys making lattes, writing poetry, and doing hot yoga! Some of her recent UNCSA credits include Emily Webb in Our Town and Raelynn Nix in John Proctor is the Villain. This summer, you can catch her in a new play, The Sound of Water, premiering at Edinburgh Fringe Festival! She has also starred in various short films and is currently co-devising an original social justice theatre piece to uplift the experiences of women in the carceral system.
